Who am I? What am I? Where am I going? Why was I born? These timeless questions have lingered at the edges of my thoughts, shaping my journey through life. Like you, I am a seeker navigating the intricate tapestry of existence. One day, as I walked this path, a radiant and divine presence touched my shoulder. When I turned, I stood in awe—it was Vedanga Jyotisha, her brilliance both humbling and inspiring.
She asked, “Why don’t you know me to understand yourself and guide others?” In that moment, a profound realisation dawned upon me: to know Jyotisha is to begin to understand Karma, the eternal thread that binds our existence.
From that day forward, my voyage into the vast and boundless ocean of Vedanga Jyotisha began. I turned to the sacred texts—Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Brihat Jataka, Phaladeepika, Uttara Kalamrita, Jataka Parijata, Jataka Alankara, Sarvartha Chintamani, Saravali, Jaimini Sutras, Bhrigu Samhita, and Pulippani Jothidam—each a repository of celestial wisdom. I also delved into the works of modern masters like K.N. Rao and B.V. Raman, whose insights continue to illuminate the path of Jyotisha practitioners.
In keeping with the sacred tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara, I had the privilege of learning under Sri Ram of Sri Mahalakshmi Jodhidam based in Chennai, India. Under his tutelage, I refined my understanding and expanded my knowledge. I also studied Prashna with Jothilingam of Sri Varahi Jothidam, gaining deeper insight into this specialised field.
This journey has taught me that Vedanga Jyotisha is an endless horizon—a boundless ocean where what is known is but a drop, and the unknown stretches infinitely. As I continue to learn and practice, I remain in awe of its vastness, committed to using this knowledge to help and guide anyone who seeks understanding and support in their life’s journey.
